Rihanna and her ex Chris Brown are letting their actions speak louder than words in the best way they know how: on Twitter.
The musical pair have made it no secret that they still keep tabs on one another, often tweeting messages to each other and even releasing dual collaboration tracks on the social media site back in February.
On Thursday, however, Breezy and RiRi silenced their online banter.
According to TMZ, it all began when Brown, 23, tweeted out a link to a remix of Kanye West’s “Way Too Cold.” On it, the R&B singer freestyles a verse that Rihanna allegedly took to be about her.
“Don’t f---k with my old b---h it’s like a bad fur/ Every industry n---a done had her/ Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her/ B---h is breaking codes, but I’m the password,” he raps over the beat.
In response, Rihanna, 24, wrote a curt “Aw, poor dat #neaux1currrrr” and then promptly unfollowed her ex.
Brown defended his track with a thinly veiled tweet.
“Assumptions! I didn’t say any names so if u took offense to it then it’s something you feel guilty about,” he countered.
He later took his point one step further and unfollowed Rihanna.
